Qualified Ag Drone Pilot

LRC is looking for a qualified and experienced Ag Drone Pilot to join our growing team in North Canterbury. The role involves precision spraying, mapping, and monitoring across rural properties.

Requirements:

  • Valid drone pilot certification (CAA Part 102 preferred)
  • Experience in agricultural drone operations
  • Strong GPS and safety knowledge
  • Ability to work independently in rural environments
  • Aviation and Agri chemical experience

Pest Control Team Lead

Longridge Contracting is a conservation company specializing in biosecurity and remote field operations, LRC is focused on producing a high standard of work and delivering exceptional results for our clients and the environment. Integrating cutting-edge drone technologies, GIS mapping and supplying extensive training for our people allows us to achieve these results . We’re seeking a motivated Plant Pest Team Leader to drive operational excellence, lead field teams, and deliver measurable impact across our pest management programs.

Core responsibilities

  • Professionally Lead and coordinate plant pest control operations
  • Supervise and mentor field crews, ensuring safety, welfare, and skill development
  • Training and inductions of field staff , Quality control and reporting to Manager
  • Liaise with clients, councils, and stakeholders to deliver projects to a set standard.
  • Ensure compliance with biosecurity regulations aligning with LRC operational standards
  • Contribute to continuous improvement through innovation and efficiency.
  • Maintain the upkeep of vehicles, equipment and staff accommodation to a high standard.

Jobs include wilding conifer control , spraying , grubbing, planting etc. Some jobs will require stay away work on a Monday to Friday Roster . Accommodation provided, staying away allowances and Meal provided for camp out work.

Key skills

  • Proven experience in pest control, biosecurity, or field operations

Field Technicians – Fixed Term

Field Technician – Fixed Term

We are a small, tight-knit team passionate about protecting New Zealand’s landscapes through effective rural pest management. Our size allows for a friendly and supportive team environment, with a strong focus on training and career development.

The Role

We are seeking motivated and reliable people to join our animal and plant pest control crews. The roles primarily involve working in remote locations predominately in the South Island. The work is physically demanding and requires a passion for the outdoors and a willingness to work in remote environments. While prior experience in plant and animal pest control is an advantage, it is not essential—full training will be provided to the right candidates.

Conditions of Employment

  • Pre-employment questionnaire and drug & alcohol test required
  • Must hold a valid full Class 1 driver’s licence
  • Must be a New Zealand resident or hold a valid NZ work visa
  • Willingness to travel and stay away during the week (accommodation and meals provided)
